Dr. Lara Aguirre, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Lara Aguirre is a third-generation nurse. She graduated with her Associate of Nursing in 2009 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012. She has held positions as a Registered Nurse in medical-surgery nursing and emergency medicine at Earl K. Long Hospital and emergency medicine and intensive care at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. In 2020, she earned her Doctorate in Nurse Practice with the goal to help the underserved and rural areas of Louisiana.

Upon graduation from LSU Health Science Center, Aguirre was awarded the “Reverend Dr. James A Ertl Clinical Excellence” Award. Lara is a proud military wife, mother of two children, and resident of Denham Springs, LA. She has also been a CASA volunteer since 2016, giving a voice to abused and neglected children in the court systems.
