Dr. JoAn Fisher-Ranel is a General Dentist and has been a member of the Southeast Community Health Systems Dental team since 2017 where she served as a staff general dentist as well as the Interim Dental Director for a year and a half. Dr. Fisher-Ranel obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University in 1990.  After visiting LSU School of Dentistry as an undergraduate, her passion and desire to pursue a career in dentistry developed and has magnified over the years. In 1995, she graduated from LSU School of Dentistry and returned to Baton Rouge to practice dentistry with zeal, compassion, and integrity.

Dr. Fisher-Ranel has practiced dentistry in the private sector for nearly 27 years in Baker.  Her desire is to serve the patients who have been entrusted to her care with dignity, compassion, and excellence. She and her husband reside in Zachary, LA. She is the mother of 2 young adult children who are current students at LSU in Baton Rouge and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa Alabama. In her spare time, Dr. Ranel volunteers with several service organizations as well as her church in various outreach efforts.
