Dr. Rainier Batiste

Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Rainier Batiste is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who has practiced as a hospitalist since completing her medical training in 2017. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and is known for her strong clinical judgment, collaborative approach, and unwavering enthusiasm for caring for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Batiste completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Medicine with a minor in Chemistry at Xavier University of Louisiana. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Pharmacology from Tulane University, followed by a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from the University of New Orleans.  She completed her medical education at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her Internal Medicine residency was completed at Danville Regional Medical Center in Danville, Virginia in 2017.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Batiste has served in several key leadership roles within the North Oaks Health System. She was Chair of the Department of Medicine at North Oaks Medical Center from 2020 to 2022, where she led quality initiatives, supported physician development, and helped strengthen departmental operations. From 2023 to 2025, she served as a Member-at-Large on the Medical Executive Committee for North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital, contributing to medical staff governance and strategic system planning.

Dr. Batiste is passionate about caring for her community and deeply values the privilege of providing compassionate, attentive, and thoughtful care to every patient she serves. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys attending sports and arts events, anything involving music, and traveling.
