Family Nurse Practitioner

Rosemarie Lazo began her nursing career after graduating from San Jacinto Community College as a licensed vocational nurse in 2001. In 2003 she received her Associate's Degree in Nursing. In 2006 she completed her Master in Nursing from Prairie View A & M University. She then obtained her Master in Science from the Loyola University of New Orleans in 2019.
Before joining Southeast Community Health Systems, Lazo worked as a recovery nurse and also spent time in both medical-surgical and trauma intensive care units.

Lazo began her nurse practitioner role with Southeast Community Health Systems and currently provides family care at our Independence location. As a native of the Philippines, Rosemarie migrated to the US when she was 17 years old. She lived in Houston, Texas for 20 years before moving to Hammond, LA in 2015 where she currently resides with her husband and 6 years old daughter.
